A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to travel to Northern Benin with two other couples. It started with a 10 hour bus ride on an old, jam packed, non-air conditioned bus.... (it's all part of the experience when traveling to Pendjari National Park). All in all it was a great time filled with; bungalo-like hotel rooms with temperamental air conditioning, mosquito nets and large spiders, having to pee in the outdoors or behind buildings, many meals of tough rubbery chicken, broken down vehicles, and dug-out canoe rides to Burkina Faso.... but most importantly, the beautiful outdoors, wild animals, and great time spent with good friends.

Esther
One of the great joys of being on board a Mercy Ship is that we get to see real lives changed. Lorah and I would like to share with you some of these stories so that you can share in joy as well. With that in mind, please follow this link to an unbelievable story about Esther, a woman from Liberia that was served on board the Africa Mercy last year in Liberia.
Enjoy!
